Now for the boring bit! We all know that no one really likes to read over the terms and conditions, but they are written for a reason to help protect both yourself and us at Stouslie Farm Luxury Farm Glamping. These terms and conditions are put in place to provide useful information for your safety, enjoyment and the consideration of others.

Stouslie Farm Luxury Farm Glamping Full Terms and Conditions
General – These booking conditions set out the basis upon which the accommodation reservations are accepted for clients (“You”, “Your party”) by Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping (“Us”, “We”, “Our”).
Information – All information supplied by Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping, is given in good faith, and is based on information available at the time. All reasonable measures have been taken to ensure the accuracy of any statement made either in writing or otherwise, but we are not liable for any variation however caused.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions / Contract of Hire – You will be deemed to have confirmed your booking, and accepted these terms and conditions, when you pay your deposit or make payment of the full rental charge to Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping. The lead guest acknowledges and accepts that he or she agrees to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entire party intending to hire the property under your booking. Please ensure all guests within your party have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
Booking – At Stouslie Farm Luxury Farm Glamping we can only accept bookings from persons over 18 years of age. Prices quoted are for 2 guests on a ‘per pod; per night’ basis or a weekly basis. Extra guests are charged a one off fee of £20 per person per stay.
To secure your reservation a 50% non-refundable deposit is taken at time of booking with the remaining 50% due 30 days prior to your stay. If you book within 30 days of your arrival date the full amount will be taken at the time of booking. Once booked, guests are responsible for reading the email we send to confirm their own booking. If cancelled or no show, we will charge the total cost of the reservation. Please ensure that travel insurance is taken out to cover you in the event of cancellation.
Security Deposit – In advance of check in, Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping requires a refundable security deposit of £150 to cover any potential losses or damages incurred during your stay. The deposit will be authorised against the card and the money reserved by default 18 hours before midnight on the day of check in (so at 6AM UTC on the day of check in). The deposit will be released by default 18 hours after midnight on the day of checkout (6PM on the day after check out).
It is recommended you pay this with a credit card as the amount due will be provisionally held as an authorised amount, without being charged, and will be released at the end of your stay. If using a debit card, the funds may actually leave your account and, once reimbursed, may take a few days to clear. Please check with your bank for full details if you are unsure.
Following the end of your stay we will complete a full clean and inspection of the Glamping pod. If there are no problems, the funds will be released promptly on your departure day or by default 18 hours after midnight on the day of checkout i.e. 6PM on the day after check out.
If we find any loss or damage to the property we will contact you by email to advise you of the total cost to be deducted from the security deposit and the reason why. Once collected the balance will be released back to your account. Some examples of reasons why we will make a collection from the security deposit:
- Non return of keys = £15 per key this includes the hot tub safety key
- Delay in vacating the pod at the agreed check out time or preventing access to the pod on the day of departure = £87.50 (half rate of usual daily stay)
- Intensive clean due to excessive mess/smoking inside the pod etc = £150
- Evidence of a ground fire or camp fire (please note these are not allowed under any circumstance) = £150
- Charcoal or any other material has been used to heat the wood burning stove for the hot tub = £50
- Bath Bombs, Bath salts and any other product has been used in the hot tub = £30
- Price will vary on broken contents or stained/ripped furnishings
Should you fail to provide card details for the security deposit you will not be allowed to stay and will lose any money paid. This will be deemed as a cancellation. A great deal of time, investment and work has been put into this site and Glamping pods in order to provide you with the best holiday experience so please take care of and respect the property during your stay.
Overseas Bookings – Payment from overseas guests can only be accepted in Sterling Pounds. Any charges for payments from overseas will be passed on to the guest. A separate invoice will be raised for these charges and payment will be required upon arrival.
Methods of Payment – Payment must be made in UK pounds Sterling and must be clear of all bank charges, exchange rate variations, and any other deductions. We are pleased to accept card payments through our website.
Check in and Check out – The rules for check in and check out are set by Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping. Glamping pods are available for occupation from 4pm on the day of arrival. If you arrive prior to 4pm we cannot always guarantee access to your pod so please be patient while we get your pod ready. All Glamping pods must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. If there is a delay in vacating the Glamping pod beyond the agreed time or if guests prevent access to our cleaning team on day of departure you will incur a charge to the equivalent of 50% of that daily rate.
Keys – Keys are made available in a secure key box located outside each Glamping Pod. Once full payment has been received, an additional email or text message detailing the code will be sent to the person who originally made the reservation. All keys must be returned to the key box at each Glamping pod on check out. If keys are lost or not returned a standard charge of £15 per key will be applied. Please ensure the door and windows of the Glamping pod are left secure when unoccupied.
Number of Occupants – You are responsible for ensuring that the Glamping pod is not occupied by more people than is stated on your original booking, which is set to the occupancy level. The number of adults per Glamping pod must never exceed four.
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to the accommodation if we feel this condition is likely to be breached. In this case no paid funds will be returned. The Glamping pods cannot be re-let/sublet to any other group/party without the written approval by Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping.
Visitors who are not staying at Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping are not permitted to visit the site. This is to safeguard the comfort and security of all other guests.
Liability – We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to you, your car or associated property whilst at Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping.
Insurance – The Glamping pod hire cost does not include any personal insurance cover of any kind. It is recommended that travel insurance be taken out against cancellation. In the event that a reservation is cancelled by the guests, they will be advised to claim their travel insurance to recover any funds that have been paid in advance. We will not be held responsible for lost revenue, due to cancellation for any reason by the guest (this includes adverse weather). It is further strongly advised that personal accident and medical insurance is also taken out.
Injury or Loss – We cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever arising at the accommodation or within the site. Neither we, nor our representatives, can be held responsible for any circumstances beyond our control including, but not limited to, mechanical breakdown, illness, or failure of any public service supply including internet connections and electricity supply.
Force Majeure – We will not be liable for any delay, loss, damage or expenses incurred if your booking needs to be altered or cancelled or we are unable to perform our contractual obligations as a result of events beyond our reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labour disputes, natural or man-made disaster, pandemics, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions.
Please bear this in mind when booking with us over the winter months as refunds will unfortunately not be given due to adverse weather conditions. We would advise you to obtain travel insurance to cover this issue.
Covid 19 policy – The following condition applies if we are not able to accommodate your booking due to COVID-19 ‘lockdown’ restrictions, or if you are not able to attend due to restrictions in other countries or because you need to self-isolate: Any payments you have made (whether deposit or full balance) are not refundable, although they can be used instead towards a new booking within the following 12 months. It is highly recommended that you obtain travel insurance to cover you in the event of a Covid 19 related cancellation.
Cancellation by You –Please email us on contact@stousliesnugsglamping.com to notify us of any cancellation. All rates are non-refundable as per the terms of booking therefore it is imperative that you obtain travel insurance to cover you in this scenario.
Cancellation by Us – In exceptional circumstances we may find it necessary to cancel your booking and if so, we shall make all reasonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative. If this is not acceptable, and assuming the cancellation is not as a result of events beyond our reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labour disputes, natural or man-made disaster, pandemics, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions, we will refund any sum you have paid to us which shall constitute full and final settlement of any liability we may have to you as a result of such cancellation. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Alteration by You – If you wish to alter your booking (e.g. change the dates of your stay or the accommodation requested), we will use all our reasonable efforts to comply with your request, however we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so and we accept no liability for any loss, damage or additional expense that may be incurred in that circumstance.
Alteration by Us – While every effort is made to adhere to the Glamping pod, and price stated in a booking, we reserve the right to change the unit until check in and vary the total price at any time before receiving the final payment from the client. Any variation will be communicated to the client in writing by email or telephone. On receiving notification, the client has forty-eight hours to communicate non-acceptance of the variation described. If no such communication is received, the client is assumed to have accepted the variation. If communication of non-acceptance is received within forty-eight hours, all paid funds will be returned to the client without any deduction.
Dogs – Our ‘Sleepy Sheep’ Glamping pods is dog friendly. A maximum of two well behaved dogs are welcome. There is an additional one off charge of £20 which should be added on at time of booking.
Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or bed and must NEVER be left unsupervised in the Glamping pod.
It is the responsibility of pet owners to clean up all fouling around the Glamping pods and ensure it is binned appropriately.
Your Glamping pod is set in a private and enclosed garden so you are free to allow your dog off lead in this area however you must ensure the gate(s) are securely closed before you do so. We are a working farm so please be respectful and keep your dog under control at all times. If we think your dog is causing a nuisance on site or is found chasing farm animals you will be asked to leave immediately. It is important to note that the field directly in front of the Glamping pods is strictly prohibited. Cows with young calves are grazing in this field and can very dangerous to the public. Please do not enter this field under any circumstances.
Unfortunately, there are certain breeds of dog that we cannot accept in accordance with the Dangerous Dog Act, 1991. Any dog known as a Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero, Japanese Tosa or any dog used for fighting, has the appearance of a dog bred for fighting or has to legally wear a muzzle.
Hot Tub Rules – Hot tub rules must be adhered to. You use the hot tub at your own risk. Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping cannot be held responsible for your safety whilst you are using the hot tub.
Due to health and safety, hot tubs must be emptied, cleaned and re-filled on a daily basis as we do not use any chemical treatment in the water. Prior to each arrival we will prepare your hot tub with fresh water ready for you to light the stove and start the heating process.
Health and Safety Guidance
Just like other physical activities, bathing in a hot tub carries certain safety and health risks. These can be minimised by following these simple guidelines and advice. We politely ask you to fully read and familiarise yourself with the important information below to ensure the hot tubs are used in a safe and appropriate manner. The lead guest is fully responsible for ensuring that all guests have read, understood, and follow the hot tub ‘rules of use’ at all times. A charge will be incurred for the misuse of the hot tub, which results in an additional cleaning/damage. Celsius
- Never exceed the maximum number of bathers in the hot tub. Our tubs accommodate up to a maximum of five persons at any given time
- Children under the ages of 6 years old are NOT permitted to use the hot tub. Any children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult in the hot tub at all times.
- Hot tub logs are now included in the price of your stay. A communal log store in situated on site for you to collect your own logs for the hot tub. Each Glamping pod will still have its own small log store beside the hot tub so that you can fill it up as and when you require.
- Some kindling and firelighters are also included in the price of your stay. If you require an additional bag of kindling or firelighters you can collect this from the communal log store at an additional charge of £3 per bag of kindling and £1 per 10 firelighters. Please use the honesty box on site.
- Please only ever use the logs, kindling and fire starters provided for the hot tub stove. Do not use charcoal, coal or any other burning material in these stoves as it can cause damage. If it is found that other materials such as those listed above have been used in the stove you will be fined £50 which will be collected from the security deposit.
- Our wood fired hot tubs can take up to 2 and a half hours to heat up to the required temperature of 38oc to 40o That being said, it is recommended that you get the stove fired up as soon as you arrive.
- Full instructions on how to operate your hot tub are provided in the log store beside your pod and within the information book contained in each Glamping pod. In addition to this, a basic operating instruction plate in fixed to each hot tub along with a water level indicator. Please read both carefully before you light the stove.
- You are responsible for emptying your hot tub each morning and refilling your hot tub prior to each additional use. You must not start emptying the tub until the fire and embers have burnt out completely. Heating a half empty tub will lead to melting the stove!
- It is imperative that the hot tub is filled with water to the water level indicator fixed to the outside of the tub, at least 5cm above the upper connection pipes of the stove, before the stove is lit. The tub stove must never be lit when the tub is empty or not full. Heating a half-empty tub will lead to melting the stove!
- Please use the hose supplied to refill the hot tub. There is a timer attached to the hose. Please set this to 120 minutes to begin with. Once finished reset the timer to add a further 30/40 minutes of water into the tub.
- As the water is layered when it heats up it needs to be mixed so that the actual temperature can be found. Before entering the hot tub please make sure you use the mixing paddle provided to stir the water then use the duck thermometer to confirm you have reached the correct temperature of 38oc to 40o It is advised that you run the temperature lower when children are using the hot tub. Whilst bathing continue to monitor the temperature to ensure it does not exceed 40oc.
- The stove will be free from ashes upon your arrival however for subsequent fillings you must clean the ashes from the stove and dispose of them in the metal bin provided. Clearing ashes from the stove will considerably speed up the time taken to heat up the hot tub.
- Please do not enter the hot tub wearing anything other than a clean bathing costume. Your usual day/evening wear is not sufficient or safe.
- No food to be taken in or near the hot tubs.
- Please ensure you drink lots of fresh water during your hot tub session. (At least one litre recommended). Extra caution must be taken whenever alcohol is being consumed either before or during hot tub use. We would recommend avoiding the use of the hot tub if under the influence of alcohol or sedatives.
- No glassware is to be taken near/in the hot tubs at any time. Please use the plastic glasses provided at your Glamping pod.
- No smoking is permitted in or near the hot tubs.
- Please take care to ensure the hot tub lid is securely fastened when not in use. Please do not sit, walk, lie, jump or climb on the hot tub or hot tub lid as it can be damaged very easily. Do not sit on external edge of tub or jump into the water as this will cause severe damage to the tub. The owners of Stouslie Farm Luxury Farm Glamping will not take any responsibility for accidents caused by irresponsible behaviour.
- When opening the hot tub cover please undo the safety latch and remove belt before attempting to fold the cover back. The cover itself is insulated and can be folded in half allowing you to monitor the temperature and mix the water while it heats up. Once you are happy with the temperature fold the lid back and lift off the tub storing it safely beside the wooden log store.
- Prolonged bathing may cause dehydration, and bathing in excessively hot water even cause heat stroke.
No Smoking/Naked Flames – We operate a strict NO SMOKING POLICY this includes the use of e-cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted in the Glamping pods. Any evidence of smoking will be a breach of agreement and guests will be asked to leave with no refund given. Please be clear that the use of naked flames i.e. candles, gas stoves etc inside the Glamping pods will also constitute a breach of agreement. We will make a charge of £150 for intensive cleaning if smoking has been detected inside the property during your stay. Any damage to Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping property or belongings, caused by the aforementioned will be charged accordingly. We would ask all guests to respect this sensitive issue.
Campfires/Barbeques –The American Style charcoal BBQ at each Glamping pod will remain available until the end of March 2022 but will not be available thereafter. Up until this point if you want to use the BBQ please bring your own charcoal.
From Aprill 2022, a bespoke brick BBQ station will be constructed with a place to hold a large party size disposable BBQ. If you would like to use the BBQ station please add on a disposable BBQ as an added extra to your booking. Both the disposable BBQ and utensils will be provided prior to your arrival.
We do not allow ground fires/campfires. Also please do not use Chinese lanterns or fireworks on site.
Children – Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
Use of accommodation – Please remember that there are other guests staying in the neighbouring Glamping pods so we would ask you to be courteous and respectful at all times and keep noise levels to a minimum particularly after 10pm.
It is forbidden to use our Glamping pods for parties or gatherings where occupants of neighbouring units might be disturbed. If, on arrival, it is felt you are intending to use the Glamping pod for such an event you may be refused entrance. If it is discovered that you are holding such an event after arrival you will be required to leave immediately. In such circumstances, Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping are not obliged to provide or locate alternative accommodation. The proportion of refund if any is at our discretion.
Please keep the accommodation secure when unoccupied and ensure all electrical items are turned off.
Allergies – We are unable to guarantee a previous guest has not consumed or used a product in the property that is one of the 14 registered allergens. Every effort is taken to ensure a thorough clean between guests Food.Gov.UK
Damages – You are responsible for taking all reasonable care of the property and its contents. The Glamping pod and all equipment, utensils, furniture etc. must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. Except in the case of normal wear and tear the lead guest will be responsible for making good any damage/breakages to the unit or its contents, which has occurred due to negligence, wilful damage or irresponsible behaviour on the part of those occupying the Glamping pod or their guests. Such damage must be reported, without delay, to management.
In the event of damage to Glamping pods, furnishings, contents, pitches or any other property belonging to us damage shall be calculated as the cost of repair of the damaged items, including but not limited to the cost of equipment, materials and labour. The premises shall not be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way. You agree not to do anything or bring onto the premises anything which may endanger the use of the property or render invalid any insurance policy.
The owner reserves the right to make an additional cleaning charge if the guest leaves the Glamping pod in an unacceptable condition. The Glamping pod will be inspected at the end of your stay.
Termination by Us – We have the right to terminate a booking at any time on the grounds of abuse to staff or other guests, mistreatment of the Glamping pod or criminal activity on the part of those occupying the Glamping pod or their guests.
Lost Property – All items are held for two weeks. Please email (the same email as the reservation must be used to confirm identity) contact@stousliesnugsglamping.com with name on reservation, property name and date of departure. If you would like the item(s) posted, you can also include the full address in the email. You are responsible for any postage and expenses for returning such items. Whilst every effort is made to safeguard guests’ property, we cannot be held responsible or liable for any losses due to theft or damage caused to guests’ personal possessions or property brought on to Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping or left in accommodation units after check out.
Rights of Access – Our representatives and subcontractors have the right of access to the Glamping pod at any time, with due regard to the convenience of you, for the purpose of inspection of the unit and to carry out any essential repair or maintenance work.
Complaints – We take all comments from our guests seriously and in the unlikely event that you wish to make a complaint you can contact us by email at contact@stousliesnugsglmaping.com. Please let us know of any damage, breakages, or maintenance issues that you come across. Informing us about any issue(s) during your stay, allows us the chance to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Please note we cannot accept liability for complaints lodged after checking out time of 10am.
Guests have a legal obligation to mitigate their loss. If we are denied the opportunity of investigating any complaint within a reasonable timescale or denied the opportunity to put matters right during the holiday, then the guest will waive all rights. We will do our utmost to ensure that any problems are resolved quickly and to your complete satisfaction.
Litigation – In the event of any litigation arising from the booking of accommodation with us, the Courts shall have sole jurisdiction on such arising matters and law prevalent at the time shall be applied at the times.
Security of Tenure – As the Glamping pods are used as serviced holiday accommodation, they are exempt from security of tenure under the Rent Act
Privacy and Data Protection – We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. We collect: (a) information necessary for us to process your booking; and (b) information derived from “cookies”. We use cookies to monitor site usage and related information. We will try to keep your data up-to-date and accurate but we provide no warranty or guarantee and bear no liability to you in the event that any data transmission over the internet is not completely accurate or secure. We use your information to help us improve our website and our service, to personalise the types of information you receive from us, as well as for internal statistical, marketing, and administrative reasons. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to process your booking. By using this website, and supplying us with your information, you consent to the use by us of your information as described above.

Confirming receipt of your Booking Confirmation email acknowledges your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Payment of the Full or Initial charge also indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
