Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping site is situated in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders and is within easy travelling distance from many cities across the UK including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and even Manchester.
Our Location
Stouslie Snugs Luxury Farm Glamping site lies two miles north of the historic Scottish Borders town of Hawick. It is set in it’s own private location along from our main farm steading. We are well placed for many local walking routes allowing you to explore the surrounding area.
The peace and tranquillity of our rural setting creates a wonderful haven for wildlife. Along with cows, calves, sheep and lambs roaming the fields we regularly see deer, owls, hares and badgers.
The bustling town of Hawick is only a short drive or walk away where you will find an abundance of local shops, restaurants, an award winning park and other local attractions.
If a trip out to the city is what you are looking for then head across to Galashiels and jump onto the Borders Railway. The heart of Edinburgh is only a 50 minute train ride away.

History
A rich and occasionally turbulent history befells the Scottish Borders which offers an abundance of haunting castles, stately homes and museums to discover. Why not visit Fatlips Castle just outside Hawick (don’t forget to pick up the key to let yourself in), or the home of the great Sir Walter Scott at Abbortsford House in Melrose.

The Borders Distillery is the first Scotch Whisky distillery in the Scottish Borders since 1837. Based in Hawick, you can book a tour or visit the gift shop to find out more about how they make their signature spirits including Lower East Side Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Puffing Billy Steam Vodka and Kerr’s Borders Gin.

If walking is your thing or your bringing your four legged friend then Hawick boasts its very own Town of 1000 trails. Pick your route from easy through to advanced and explore the beautiful countryside. We are also well placed to stop and stay whilst walking the epic 68 mile Borders Abbeys way walking route.

With 24 different golf courses across the region to choose from you are spoilt for choice. Hawick Golf course is the oldest golf course in the Borders and has been in existence since 1877.

You’ll find adventure galore at the Glentress 7stanes flagship mountain biking trial centre, take to the treetops at GoApe, have a ‘shot’ at clay target shooting at Bisley @Braidwood or take the kids along to Jacksons at Jedburgh for a day out at the farm with plenty of animals to see.

There are many restaurants and pubs to take your fancy all across the Scottish Borders. Around Hawick, grab some lunch at The Riversedge cafe but leave some room for your evening meal and try the elegant Nightsafe Bistro or Adam’s kitchen for delicious Scottish delights.

Why not take a day trip out to the seaside town of Eyemouth. Watch the seals playing in the harbour while you enjoy fish and chips by the sea.
