Cycling in the Scottish Borders just got more luxurious! Spend your day exploring the beautiful countryside on your bike or feel the thrill of the 7stanes mountain bike trails then return to your cosy Glamping pod at night to snuggle down. Soak those aching muscles in the wood fired hot tub and sleep well knowing your bike and equipment are securely stored in your own personal bike storage facility.






Cycling Facilities
We have four secure cycling storage sheds… one named after each of our glamping pods and a communal utility shed. When you stay at the Snugs you can add on the use of our new cycling facility for an extra £10 per stay. Facilities include:

Secure bike storage
You will have a set of keys to enter your own private secure bike storage shed which stores up to 4 bikes on bike holders and helmet storage.

Electric ebike charge
Inside your storage shed there is a plug point to charge your ebike at not extra cost.

The utility shed is a communal area for all bikers to use. In here we have a bike foot pump, bike maintenance stand, local cycling information, tumble dryer (£1 per 20 minutes) and bike tool box.

Give your bike a clean using the hose and spray gun in the washing bay.

There are many different cycling routes in and around Hawick. Whether you like a leisurely cycle through town along the riverside of Wilton Lodge Park or prefer a bit more of a challenge there are so many routes to choose from including:
- Four road ends cycling route
- Denholm loop
- Roberton loop
- Alemoor cycling route
- Vertish Hill loop
- Borderloop
7stanes - newcastleton
A short drive will take you to 7stanes Newcastleton where you are can cycle along beautiful forest trails or for the thrill seeker take on either their Blue or Red mountain biking trails.
7stanes - glentress
Glentress 7stanes Mountain Biking Centre is only a 40 minute drive away and is the Scottish Borders top Mountain biking destination. With a total of 6 MTB trails ranging from beginner green routes, taster trails right up to the Glentress Black Route. There is plenty of adventure for everyone.
You can also make use of the cafe, bike shop and visitor centre while you are there.
kirkpatrick c2c cycling route
The Kirkpatrick C2C, South of Scotland’s Coast to Coast cycling route offers 250 miles of uninterrupted joy for experienced cyclists from Stranraer on the west coast to Eyemouth on the east coast.
If you’re an adrenaline lover, you can try the Challenge Route and do it in as few as four days. But why rush? Take your foot off the pedal and give yourself enough time to stop and discover all there is to see with our Explorer Route. Or if you only have a couple of days to spare, why not try the Bitesize approach and tackle part of the route. Tailor this epic cycle route to suit you.

Each Snug has its own dedicated bike storage shed for your own private use. It can store up to 4 bikes.
Yes, inside each bike storage shed is a power point where you can charge your ebike at no extra cost.
We know how important it is to have secure storage for your bike as they can be very expensive to buy. That being said, each bike storage shed is double locked with a different key required to open the top and bottom locks.
Keys for the bike storage shed and utility shed will be left inside the Snug for your arrival.
It costs only £10 per stay to hire your bike storage shed and access all facilities. This can be added on as an extra at point of booking.
