Hot Tub Information
Wood fired hot tubs take a lot of time and patience but once you get the water up to temperature and you step into your tub it’s sooooo worth the effort!
Prior to your arrival your hot tub will be full ready for you to start lighting the stove. It takes up to 3 hours depending on the time of year to get your hot tub up to the correct temperature of 38 – 40 degrees. That being said, we recommend that you get the stove fired up as soon as you arrive if you want to get in on your first night.
Unlimited hot tub logs are now included in the price of your stay along with 1x bag of kindling, Flamers fire starters and a fire lighter. You can purchase additional bags of kindling for £3 and fire starters for £1 if required via the on site honesty box.
We do not use any chemicals in our hot tubs just fresh, clean and safe water from a natural spring. For health and safety reasons the hot tub should therefore be drained and refilled prior to each use. You are responsible for emptying your hot tub each morning and refilling your hot tub before each additional use. Be aware that refilling the hot tub takes another 2 and a half hours… I did say it takes a lot of time and patience!
Full instructions on how to operate your hot tub will be emailed to you before your stay. Copies are provided within the guest information book contained in each Glamping pod and in the log store beside each pod. In addition to this, a basic operating instruction plate in fixed to each hot tub along with a water level indicator. It is imperative that you read the instructions carefully before you light the stove and empty the hot tub. Failing to do so can lead to serious damage such as melting the stove or hot tub!!! Please see our T&C’s for hot tub use.
